I was asked to do a topic near and dear to my heart, but one that I also found very challenging, domestic violence. What does it mean to be a strong woman, and in particular, a strong black woman? A strong black man? Is a strong black person a rugged individual who goes out and achieves material success? Or is a strong black woman (and a strong black man) one who depends on the strength of the Lord to stand up for the victims of oppression in this life?
